Marks to all: common questions
What does marks to all mean in GATE?
When the official answer key marks a question “marks to all” (MTA), every candidate who took that paper gets the full marks for it, whether they answered it, answered it wrongly or skipped it. It is usually decided after the answer-key challenge, when a question or its options turn out to have an error.
Which GATE 2026 questions were awarded marks to all?
In GATE 2026: Aerospace Engineering Q35, Q46; Civil Engineering (Set 1) Q19; Electrical Engineering Q58.
Do I get the marks if I skipped a marks-to-all question?
Yes. The marks go to everyone who took the paper, so skipping it costs nothing. There is no negative mark on it either.
How are marks-to-all questions scored in Lemyte's tests?
The same way: when you take a past paper on Lemyte, every marks-to-all question gives you its full marks whatever you answer. They are left out of topic practice, because they have no single correct answer to practise against.
